ASH Family Center

Christmas Boxes -

    Community members can submit applications beginning in September to receive boxes full of holiday food for their families.  The Family  Center and Seniors are responsible for collecting funds and goods for this important program.  In addition to the food box, specific, unique gifts are provided for children from birth to nineteen. 

Christmas Parade -

    Each year the church takes part in organizing and participating a community celebration of the Christmas season.  Funds raised during this celebration help support the Christmas Box program.

Community Tree Lighting -

   Done the night before the Christmas Parade in the Shady Hills Park.

Easter Baskets -

    Parents are able to purchase low cost Easter baskets prepared by the seniors.

Library Reserve Branch -

   In order to make library resources more available to this community, Shady Hills has formed a partnership with Pasco County Library  System. This makes it possible to obtain books without making the thirty two mile round trip to the nearest library facility. The library is located in the Ash Family Center with hours from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm Monday through Friday.

Senior Fellowship -

    Activities in the Ash family center are available from 9-1, Monday through Friday.  Bingo, crafts, and other activities bring this group together.

Senior Nutrition -

    This Family Center ministry is a special partnership with the Senior Nutrition Program of Pasco County. Hot meals are provided for Seniors 60 and over.  Sign-up is requested. Call 727-856-2948 Ext. 105, or email  Meals  are served between 11:45 and 12:00.  The center serves 30-35 meals per day. and has provided 1240 meals in the month of January 2013.

Hallowfest -

     We are proud to announce that 2012 marked our first annual Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat rolled up into one "screaming" good time! This event is a hybrid of SeptemberFest and Trunk or Treat. Activities will included a moonwalk, pony rides, handmade crafts, white elephant goods, food, hayrides, clowns and a creative Trunk or Treat theme "Heroes Unmasked".  Hallowfest will be held on Saturday, October 28th from 2:00 pm to 9:00 pm, so mark your calendars early!
