Mission |
The mission of Shady Hills United Methodist Church is to help lead all persons into a personal relationship with God through Christ, thus enabling them to become His disciples. Through our presence and varied ministries we seek to make a transforming difference in our community and the world as we continue Christ’s ministry.

Vision |
The vision of Shady Hills United Methodist Church is to provide open, welcoming and Christ-like hospitality through our worship and a variety of ministry programs, activities and spiritual growth opportunities. To nurture the spiritual gifts God has given each person within our congregation to the end that he/she may be engaged in active, faith-filled lay ministry.
Our vision recognizes the needs of the whole person and whole family and is dedicated to the belief that God’s desire is for all his children to have a personal relationship with God through His Son Jesus Christ. As such, our ministries are a blend of the spiritual, physical, mental and emotional as we seek to meet the many and varied needs of all whom we touch.

Values |
Shady Hills United Methodist Church belongs to God. The ministries that flow out of this Family of God belong to God, and God has graciously invited us, the fellowship of believers, to participate in bringing others into a saving relationship with Him. As such we are charged with being living reminders of His Presence to all we meet.
Our ministries are the continuation of Christ’s ministry and our priority is that through this church all those whom we touch may feel some portion of Christ’s love, grace, forgiveness and salvation in their lives. Therefore, it is our pledge to recognize each and every person as a Child of God and of infinite worth. That, with God’s grace, we will conduct ourselves in such a way as to draw others closer to Christ. Through daily prayer and the work of the Holy Spirit in our lives we seek to be models to others of God’s transforming power, love and grace.
